Sister of Charity was taken in 1956 with the Australian photographer David Moore. This is a photo of group of nuns wearing traditional wimples that is photographed from the mezzanine level of Washington National Airport, as they farewelled one of their order leaving for South America.The image is a visual puzzle, similar to flowers or origami - until the hands are seen towards the bottom of the photograph.

Teacup ballet is a 1935 photograph by Australian modernist photographer Olive Cotton. The image consists of a group of six cups and saucers that have been carefully arranged in an asymmetrical pattern on a flat surface. The items have a glossy surface and are slightly translucent. The composition is spotlit from above, with the light angled so that each cup and saucer throws a long shadow along the surface towards the viewer. The strong angular shapes of these shadows dominate the entire composition.
